A fast-paced but suspenseful story

The characters are traveling as last-minute passengers on the Faithful Tide, a merchant ship accustomed to transporting goods and passengers between known ports. The ship's captain has a reputation as a smuggler, so, as a last-minute addition, the adventurers have had to travel in a compartment hidden behind a false wall. On board, in addition to the crew, there are a few passengers (mostly merchants) and an archeoalchemist (who claims to be traveling with something of extreme importance). The archaeo-alchemist is carrying a Blood Relic discovered during his latest excavation.
